My thoughts on an article from BBC about Brazil
My manager has shared an article with me called
"Getting lost in translation in Brazil" from BBC News.
This was what I reply to him and I though it'd be nice to make it public:
That's a very interesting article, thanks for sharing. I agree with most of the points, although Brazil doesn't have as many immigrants as Australia (or other countries) so it's rare to see people speaking other languages than Portuguese.If you are living on a country where you weren't born, you should be respectful. With the language, the culture, the people, everything actually.My personal experience has been great: Australians haveare always nice to me. I try my best to do the same. Living in another country has been one of the most amazing experiences I've had in my life. Sometimes it's hard, but it's definitely rewarding.
